Early Learning

KTC Early Learning

Kesser Torah College Early Learning is a place filled with love and warmth where every child is seen and celebrated as an individual.

We nurture each child’s sense of curiosity and wonder in order to create a lifelong love of learning. In keeping with our Chabad philosophy, we instil in all children the belief that they can make a positive impact on the world in their own unique way, not just when they become adults, but even now as young children.

Developing self-esteem and confidence is a major focus of the educators and one that is in deep accordance with Jewish principles of teaching children and encouraging them on their unique journey.

Jewish Life

Our curriculum embraces our Jewish tradition which is intertwined within the daily life of our Early Learning, fostering a strong sense of identity and wellbeing. It is our emphasis on Judaism that sets us apart.

Jewish learning comes alive through play given our experiential approach. With the Jewish calendar as our constant guide, students are immersed in a world steeped in Jewish learning which they experience not just cognitively, but holistically.

Through our daily practice, the children’s experience of their Jewish tradition is taught and guided by dedicated educators who role model their love for Judaism, live it in their own lives and who transmit that love to the children.

Educational Philosophy

We understand that children learn best through play, which forms the basis of our Early Learning program.

Learning through play offers children the ability to learn as they engage in imaginative play, experimentation and improvisation, and through the exploration of their environment. Play stimulates children to enquire about the world and engage in problem solving and critical thinking.

Developing self-esteem and confidence is a major focus of the educators and one that is in deep accordance with Jewish principles of teaching and encouraging them on their unique journey.

Educators

Kesser Torah College Early Learning is a place filled with love and warmth where every child is seen and celebrated as an individual. We are renowned for the warmth of our educators for whom the wellbeing of the children is paramount.

Every Early Learning classroom has a degree-qualified teacher with years of experience and dedication. Many of our teachers and educators have been part of the Early Learning family for many years, and they see this as not just a job, but a passion, and for our students, it’s a home away from home.

Early Learning Family

Kesser Torah College Early Learning is connected to a school and a wider community. Students from the Primary and High School often come and visit the children and engage in activities with them, which is one of the most treasured times of the day. There is a powerful and meaningful feeling of inclusivity in being part of a school community in which the children are integral and much-loved.

We want our children to feel a sense of belonging and that our Early Learning is their second home, as their connections and relationships with their peers, educators and the wider school community deepen.
