Primary School

Primary School Teacher in a Learning Support Role

KTC is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Primary School Teacher with a passion for working with students with additional learning needs.  The role is preferably 3 days per week but consideration will be afforded to full-time work.  The role would ideally suit a new graduate teacher, or a primary school teacher with up to 2-3 years experience.  Training and professional devellopment to support neuro-diverse students will be offered.

Specific requirements:

  • Provide targeted literacy intervention for individual students and small groups based on evidence-based strategies
  • Support the socio-emotional needs of the students
  • Have the capacity to create, implement and evaluate individualised learning plans (ILPs) in collaboration with all stakeholders
  • Prepare and document lessons in line with ILPs and classroom programs
  • Set high achievable learning and social goals and support students to achieve them
  • Work effectively both autonomously and as part of a team
  • Demonstrate an ability to write proficiently (documentation and reports) and to support students up to Year 6 with their written expression skills
  • Prepare resources
  • Able to motivate students to achieve and to develop a life-long love of learning
  • Have a deep knowledge, understanding and passion for teaching all levels of Primary school, with a focus on Years 3 to 6.

  • Ability to follow direction and prioritse
  • Interpersonal skills in working with a diverse range of staff
  • Ability to maintain the quality of assigned work
  • Eexperience working in a classroom environment
  • Proficient IT skills

Early Learning

Cert III Teacher |  Cert III / Diploma  |  ECT  |  Jewish Studies

We are seeking expressions of interest from Cert III / Diploma qualified Educators, Early Childhood Teachers and Jewish Studies Teachers to work in our Early Learning Centres on varying bases (as above).
