KTC Israel Tour 2017/18

It was very gratifying to see and feel the incredibly positive reaction of our students who were privileged to be a part of the first Kesser Torah 5-week Tour of Israel. During the five weeks, we were able to travel the length and breadth of Israel and immerse our students in an experience that will no doubt impact the rest of their lives. Visits to Har Hertzl, the Knesset, various Midrashot and Yeshivot, the area of the Gush, Chevron, S’derot, Shiloh, and the North and South of Israel, including the Golan and Eilat, all contributed to an amazing immersive experience.

Our students were also incredibly moved by the memorial at Beersheva, which commemorates the unique association between Israel and Australia; the Museum for the Blind (Dialogue in the Dark), Ammunition Hill and the visits to the military and air force museums. Of course, the four hours at Yad VaShem and the meeting with IDF veterans (“Brothers for Life”) touched them deeply. The many hikes they walked, gave them an opportunity to literally “feel” the land and to appreciate the historical significance of the very stones on which they walked, following in the footsteps of the Tanach. Our thanks to Y2i for their incredible assistance in helping to fund this project. In addition, our thanks to the many generous donors who provided top-up funding to those families who still needed assistance to get their children there.
